Newfoundland rugby is excited to bring rugby to junior high schools in the greater St. John’s region. This is a new form of non-contact rugby to introduce the sport in a safe,
fun, and inclusive environment to boys and girls in grades 7 and 8.
The 2026 T1 Flag Rugby Festival will be a two-day event (May 23rd/24th, 2026) hosted at the new Fortis Canada Games Complex.
The inaugural Grade 7/8 Flag Rugby Festival will be co-ed and free of charge for all participating schools thanks to generous funding from Rugby Canada and the dedication of many local volunteers.
