Name: Kaitlyn Hawco
Position: Mainly 10 but anywhere in the backs!
Club: Dogs RFC
Rugby Roots: I started playing rugby in high school. I heard there were tryouts one day, so I showed up knowing no one and left with many new friends, and I continued to play.
Experience: I’ve played for four years with Dogs RFC and three years with women’s Rock, most recently placing 4th at Atlantic’s this past summer. I played all three years of high school with O’Donel High School winning MVP each year. Senior year I played on the boy’s team placing 1st in our tier.
Inspiration: I am inspired by many things like my teammates and my goals as a rugby player, but I am mostly inspired by my mentors that taught me everything I know about rugby. Without them, I would not be the player I am today.
Fun Fact: Before playing rugby, I played soccer for 11 years
