The Newfoundland and Labrador Rugby Union (NLRU) is pleased to announce that Mr. Morgan Lovell has been appointed the Technical Director of the NLRU effective June 1, 2021. This appointment was confirmed by the NLRU board.
Mr. Lovell brings a wealth of experience to this position and possesses a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Sports Development and World Rugby Coaching and Learning Facilitator certifications. Mr. Lovell has played Rugby professionally and semi-professionally in his home country of Wales. Mr. Lovell has been heavily involved with the various junior and senior Rock programs over the past 13 years and will continue to jointly serve as the Executive Director of the Swilers Rugby Football Club.
The NLRU board looks forward to working with Mr. Lovell to grow and promote the sport of Rugby in Newfoundland and Labrador and wish Mr. Lovell all the best in this new position.
